I’ve always looked up at the sky and wanted to fly. When I was a child, I used to gaze at the night sky for hours, trying to observe each and every tiny dot that twinkled back at me. I’ve always wanted to blend in with them and discover their mysteries. I’ve always wanted to be a deep space explorer; alas, such a thing exists only in Star Trek.
It was my 7th grade, got in touch with physics and for some reason, refused to believe in God. Later, I realised the one of the greatest scientists of all time, Sir Albert Einstein described the universe as the “Mind of God”. The greatest genius of my time, Dr. Stephen Hawking, also believes in  God. Although he has said, “I do not agree with the view that the universe is a mystery, something that one can have intuition about but never fully analyse or comprehend. I feel that this view does not do justice to the scientific revolution that was started almost four hundred years ago by Galileo and carried on by Newton”, in his book ‘Black Holes and Baby Universes and other essays’. I’ve always wanted to describe God in the light of logic and not just as ‘blind faith’. Some religions, like Hinduism, date back to the dawn of mankind itself. It doesn’t have any prophet or anyone who started it. Its religious texts are filled with descriptions of extraordinary weapons, flying machines, and even astronomy.
I was in 9th grade I guess, when I came across a show in Discovery Channel called “A Haunting”. It was a show about real life haunted places and the people who have witnessed it. Before that I did not believe in ghosts. There I found out that ghosts can be detected by infra-red cameras and magnetic tapes; and they can even interact with electricity. Wait! Does that mean they can interact with photons, electrons, etc.? Bingo! They must be having some sort of energy. It has always been about energy in this universe. I even got to know that people could feel something cold around them whenever they came in contact with a ghost or spirit in most of the cases. Then what sort of energy is it, which can take away your potential heat energy? Must be some sort of negative energy; and if ghosts do exist, then there has to be some sort of opposite force.
Then what does our sun do? It gives off energy. It is, in fact our primary source of energy on Earth. We're even born out of a star and one day we'll all die for it. Then what is God?
Back in the day, my history teacher had once told me that ancient men lived at the mercy of nature. They did not know science; but the human mind is always hungry for an explanation. So they decided to create or believe the concept of God! But what about Einstein and Hawking then? It’s funny when I think of it now, but me as a child, used to pray to God, to let me discover Him.
Anyway, according to me, God is nothing but all the form of pure energy! And energy is all around us. Even in most religious texts, it has been said that God is all around us and within ourselves, and only energy can fit  that description.  I’d like to conclude, quoting John Lennon:

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
